Welcome!

Hi there! How’re you going? Are you seat-belted in tight, up on one wheel or chilling smelling the roses?

I’m Sarah from New Zealand, a 42 year old who just left her job as a lawyer (in August 2013) to travel, reflect and to find a new path.

My original “About” page went like this and it still sums things up:

“Blurts from the road after a sudden ejection action from ‘life as we know it.’

Why the humble bumblebee?  That is another story. But let’s note for now that we are truly limited only by our imaginations!

My tales and ditties may follow a bumblebee-like flight path. I hope they do! I am free!

Please bear with any mad buzzing… and enjoy.”

That said, I guess I’m slowly getting bolder and that’s why I’m telling you who I am! I’m in a major life transition right now (mid-life crises are underrated!!) which may explain the bumblebee-like flight path of my posts. I’m travelling and also exploring all sorts of ideas for the future – and getting my energy back!

There is something lovely about bumblebees and how they bop all over the place but somehow still get where they are going, or somewhere anyway! I’ll tell you more about why they inspire me especially on another page soon.

In the meantime, I look forward to sharing this journey through the world and life with you. Leave a comment and tell me how your journey is going. 🙂

Hi Island Traveler, seeing your comment made me realise that it was time to get brave and actually say something about myself in my “About” page (now updated and called my “Welcome!” page). Thanks for your comment and its an honour to meet you too! 🙂

Thanks Steve! I’m enjoying looking through your blog and site, lots of inspiration there!

Loved your “Ode to the Lizard King” – I was at the same cemetery last week. Didn’t think of taking a vid though! Great also that you are publicising the issues in Tibet.

Looking forward to hearing about Mexico and I hope the novel is going well.

      Hi there

Thanks so much for this award and sorry for the delay in replying. I have just started working full time (but not permanently!!) after months of travel so have found it hard to make time for my blog.

Your blog is gorgeous! I love that it is so visual and also so peaceful. A kindred spirit trying to live life more slowly! So glad you found me and I look forward to following you.

Now to find other kindred spirits and hidden treasures on WordPress to nominate. Thank you!

      Sarah
